What Is A Word? Meaningful Words And Meaningless Words 

• In English Grammar a word is a group of letters that make complete sense.

अंग्रेजी व्याकरण में शब्द अक्षरों का समूह होता है जो पूर्ण बोध कराता है।

Examples:

    1. Rose(रोज ) गुलाब - This word is made of four letters - R,O,S ,E etc.

    2. Dog(डॉग ) कुत्ता - This word is made of three letters - D,O,G etc.

 Thus we understand that a word is a group of letters that make complete sense.

इस प्रकार से हम समझते हैं कि शब्द अक्षरों का समूह है जो पूर्ण बोध कराता है।

• What are meaningful words? सार्थक शब्द क्या हैं?

Those words which make sense are meaningful words.

जो शब्द समझ में आ जाए वे सार्थक शब्द होते हैं।

Examples:

                      1. God(गॉड ) भगवान 

                       2. Nose(नोज़) नाक 

• What are meaningless words ? निरर्थक शब्द क्या हैं?

  

  Those words which donot make sense are meaningless words.

  जो शब्द समझ में न आए वे निरर्थक शब्द होते हैं।

 Examples:

                     1. Odg- no meaning कोई अर्थ नहीं 

                      

                     2. Watre- no meaning कोई अर्थ नहीं
